Brittany Stinson-McGee, She/Her-was born in Thunder Bay and raised along the North Shore, She has deep and longstanding ties to the communities served by Nipigon District Memorial Hospital. Much of her life has been spent fishing, hunting and connecting with the land and waterways throughout the Nipigon area, where she also lived from 2016 to 2018. These experiences have shaped her understanding of the region's strengths, challenges, and the importance of accessible, culturally grounded healthcare.
As a proud Mohawk woman, Brittany brings a strong commitment to community, collaboration, and system-wide connection. Her career has spanned from mental health addictions, social services, and frontline healthcare delivery, giving her a broad perspective on how individuals and families move through the health system-and where thoughtful governance can make a meaningful difference.
Brittany is dedicated to supporting the Board's work through a lens of equity, partnership, and accountability. Her focus is on strengthening integrated care, championing culturally safe practices, and ensuring that the hospital continues to meet the evolving needs of the people it serves. With both personal and professional roots in the region, Brittany is honoured to contribute to the ongoing health and well-being of the Nipigon district.
